MC90?Edit

What is the source for the MC90 being in this new expansion? Seems a tad bit out of place chronologically. Is this true? AdmiralNick22 18:50, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

    • I was wondering about that also Trucidar 22:14, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
      • No answers from anyone? I am still curious as to whether the MC90 or a Mon Cal frigate are in the new expansion. I did a web search, but nothing turned up. AdmiralNick22 18:28, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
        • I think the frigate was mentioned by a Petroglyph programmer, but not the MC90. VT-16 00:14, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Darth-Tropid a programer from Petroglyph comfirmed it isn't the MC-90. Unsigned comment byWswordsmen (talk • contribs).

ThrawnEdit

So Thrawn is going to be in the Game. Not to sound paranoid, but could someone sight this. If its true, that will be awesome. Unsigned comment by67.175.123.49 (talk • contribs).

  • Cite is the word you want and go to Empire-at-war.net the forums have a thrawn comfirmed thread with a link in it. I am too lazy to put it in now. Unsigned comment byWswordsmen (talk • contribs).
    • I assume Zann's background in that new IGN interview is official info? If so, it's a nice tie-in with Thrawn, and for once, Thrawn is the one dumb-founded. That's pretty good for a future crime lord. I also liked how he offers "protection" to planets affected by the war:
"That's a nice planet you've got here. Big, open fields, lots of tourist attractions, a rich history, wonderful culture. It would be a shame if something "unfortunate" were to happen to it. Fleets get redirected... armies get reposted... things disintegrate for no reason, you know. But we want to look out for you. So for just, say, a minor sum of 20% of all planetary income.... " HAH. 8D VT-16 18:09, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Krayt-class destroyer?Edit

Where did that name come from? VT-16 00:16, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

BosskEdit

I can't remember seeing him anywher can someone cite him??? Unsigned comment byWswordsmen (talk • contribs).

  • His voice can be heard in one of the movies of footage from the game. It was one with a space battle, IIRC. -- I need a name 23:05, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
  • He was in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back - he was inside a star destroyer with other bounty hunters like Boba Fett and IG-88

Ewok Handler Edit

hi, i removed the ewok handler becuse it is a fake pic, theres not going to be an ewok handler in the game, duh Redskins 14:53, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Redskins

  • The Ewok Handler is in the game, one of the developers mentioned it on a forum. Edit: [1] -- I need a name 16:56, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

kk can you give me a link, cuse im pretty sure the devs wouldnt put an ewok handler in the game, but mabye its a special unit that you get through cheats like simon the killer ewok? im gonna put unconformed beside it Unsigned comment by70.28.113.106 (talk • contribs).

  • The ewok handler is in the game. In the campaign you get it by corrupting Endor with slavery and in skirmish and galactic conquest by purchasing it from the barracks. Starwarsrulez 23:22, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
  • The ewok handler is in the game no mods or cheat codes needed he straps bombs to them & sends them to the enemy base, much like an modern terrorist.

Names of units wrong? Edit

well those new pics from cain gave us alot of new info, and the people here at wooikepedia have updated this page with those units, but id like to point out that cain got a game but its a diff laguage. so for example "defiler" may not be the right name for the unit? mabye somebody could put the units through a translater? and if you dont belive me look at the pics the description is english but the names are another lanuage Unsigned comment by70.28.113.106 (talk • contribs).

  • Cain's screenshots appear to be in German, so I added very few (if any) of those units which hadn't already appeared in previous SW sources. The Defiler name, however, is from this interview with one of the developers. -- I need a name 17:17, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Jabba on cover Edit

Did you relize Jabba's hands and body look like the 1983 kenner toy's? Look at it. -- Jabbathehuttgartogg(Rancor pit) 13:19, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Larger Black Sun influence? Edit

At gamestop.com, the article about Forces of Corruption mentions that you will be able to, "Form unlikely alliances with groups such as the Rebel Alliance and Black Sun (led by Prince Xizor of Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire) – all with your own greed-driven intentions in mind." Does this mean that Black Sun will have a larger influence in the new game? Will Prince Xizor be a potential hero character? Or is this information just outright inaccurate? 70.244.78.103 16:40, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

No, you can only control the Zann Consortium.63.199.47.153 18:52, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
That is not exactly true. You have a mission with Black Sun in the campaign, including Prince Xizor. --OuroborosCobra 20:49, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
  • You have a temporay truce with the rebels at kuat to destroy the eclipse. Starwarsrulez 23:23, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Don't you mean "destroy" heheheheh.....I will create an account soon

Expansion pack Edit

Since it's an expansion pack, will we have to buy the original Empire at War?--Herbsewell 23:02, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

    • Yes, but this isn't the place to ask this kind of question Jedi Dude 23:02, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Where would that be then?--Herbsewell 23:06, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Well thanks anyway. I now know I have to spend about 30 more bucks than I thought. Unsigned comment byHerbsewell (talk • contribs).

Demo's Out Edit

For all who want to know, the official EaW: FoC demo has been released (October 6.) I recommend using Xfire or similar software to download it. The demo campaign is frustratingly short. I downloaded it last night via Xfire and played through the entire thing this morning. It does a good job of giving you a feel for how the Zann Consortium works but there is no free play. Still worth the download. (Sirius Shadowflame 17:10, 6 October 2006 (UTC))

Tartan Patrol Crusier Edit

I've heard somewhere that the Zann Consortium will be able to steal ship designs from the rebels and Empire. That, and the fact that the Tartan is not on the Zann Consortium's tech tree makes me think that the Tartan is not, in fact a Zann Consortium unit.Lord Zack 20:52, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

  • It's a buildable unit for the Zann Consortium in the demo. -- I need a name(Complain here) 21:09, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I was aware of this.Lord Zack 21:11, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
    • The Zann Consortium is able to get Rebel and Imperial units through piracy missions. [2]Lord Zack 15:12, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

IG-88 has the Hack Death Star ability? Edit

So IG-88 can hack a Death Star and make it usable by the Zann Consortium? Sounds sweet, but a bit unbalanced. That way, the Consortium can have both the Eclipse and the Death Star. Master Secura

  • AFAIK, what happens is that he takes over the Death Star and blows it up, killing himself, the Death Star and any fleets or planets that it's near at the time. --

Star Wars: Empire at War -- Forces of Corruption (PC, 2006)

Product Information

  • In Star Wars: Empire at War -- Forces of Corruption a new faction has emerged with the ability to exploit and corrupt weakened planets left defenseless while the Empire recovered from the destruction of the Death Star. The Zann Consortium, named after Tyler Zann, leader of the underground organization, has the ability to send saboteurs and heroes like Bossk or IG-88 to planets from the original game, and 13 more environments added with the expansion. These undercover terrorists can slowly corrupt Empire- and Rebel-oriented planets such as Kamino, Bespin, and Mustafar, to steal cash and resources directly from the planet's revenue. However, the Zann Consortium's ultimate goal is to commandeer the Super Star Destroyer, a behemoth of a galactic cruiser that is 11 times the size of the Death Star, and packs the destructive ability equal to the blast that turned Alderaan into space dust.

To make it anywhere near the Super Star Destroyer, you have to take over Empire-influenced planets and cut off all supply and production outlets to effectively weaken and overtake the world. Once a planet is debilitated, you can begin deploying ground units and claim a new territory in the name of Zann. Sending in saboteurs to impair a planet opens eight options of corruption that will affect your progress in a variety of ways. In an attempt to add a risk-and-reward element to the game, selecting kidnapping, intimidation, or space piracy will trigger one of 30 tactical combat missions with such objectives as racketeering, bribing officials, or making your way to the governor for a little pain-induced persuasion.

When and if you do manage to corrupt a world, rewards and special items are offered including ship designs. You may play as each of the three factions, and each side has its own group of heroes, transport vehicles, and units. For example, the Empire cruises the Juggernaut through space, while the Zann Consortium has to rely on the black market for all their transport, technological, and combat needs.
